EU-OPENSCREEN Kick-Off Meeting, 22-23 November 2010, Brussels
The official Kick-Off Meeting for the Preparatory Phase of the EU-OPENSCREEN project took place at the European Commission in Brussels, between 22-23 November 2010.
The two-day meeting was opened by Christos Profilis (Project Officer) and Ronald Frank (Project Co-ordinator) and was comprised of discussions relating to the general administration and organisation of the three-year project, and presentations of work packages followed by detailed discussion about their implementation.
On the evening of the 22 November two lectures were given by Jan Kihlberg (AstraZeneca) and Michael Foley (Broad Institute), respectively.

2nd European Chemical Biology Symposium (ECBS 2010)
The second European Chemical Biology Symposium (ECBS 2010) took place between 20-21 May 2010, in Prague.
ECBS 2010 focussed on the topics of protein modifications, molecular chaperons and stem cell biology. It addressed researchers from different scientific areas – chemistry, biology, pharmacology, chemoinformatics, bioinformatics – sharing an interest in the interdisciplinary field of Chemical Biology. The conference provided ample opportunities to discuss with other experts the ongoing and future research activities.
