WP 12: Chem&BioInformatics / e-Infrastructure

July 2012 - Month 18 Update

WP 12 reached one of the four milestones of the reporting period and established an agreement on the structure of the future European Chemical Biology Database (ECBD).

Objectives

- Establish the requirements for a database for archiving, retrieving and mining data from high-throughput screening and hit-to-lead chemistry studies.

- Development and testing of a European Chemical Biology Database (ECBD) based on the data standards established in WP2.

- Establish strategy for coordination of e-Infrastructure components within EU-OPENSCREEN, and wider EU informatics projects, especially ELIXIR.

- Establish mechanisms for data-sharing and linking the ECBD with other databases and informatics resources.
